Sixth Grade Electives:
During sixth period, sixth graders will alternate between taking PE and an elective course.
Most sixth grade students opt to take our Elective Wheel course which provides them a sampling of the types of year-long elective courses they will be ablet to take in 7th and 8th grade. Sixth graders who select the elective wheel will take four 12-week short courses of Engineering, Study Skills, Computer Technology, and Journalism. Sixth grade students who do not want to take the Elective Whell may also take Band, Orchestra, or Study Skills.
Seventh and Eighth Grade Electives:
All seventh and eighth grade students take a year-long elective class. Pershing offers Engineering, Advanced Engineering, ASB, AVID, Band, Orchestra, Spanish, Study Skills, and Yearbook.
