Teachers at Pershing plan in PLC's or Professional Learning Communities. Each department has a common preparation period daily and plans for instruction, assessment and project-based learning. Students participate in discussions, debates, Socratic Seminars, and group projects and are able to share their understandings in all subjects. Students in 7th grade have access to personal computers which are part of the Technology grant, and use these computers daily in all of their subjects. Students in 7th grade will participate in :
