President's Update

And of course, don't forget the Fun Run, or should I say, the Awesome Obstacle Course, designed to have all of our students enjoy running through the course to earn prizes as well as have fun. You all should have received donation information as well as prize information. The Obstacle Course Run will be on Wednesday, February 26th in the morning. Below is a message from parent Jenny Thomas, who is leading this fundraiser along with Mrs. Cott and ASB. Here is the message:

I am excited to tell you about this year's Fun Run, coming up on February 26. Our Foundation and ASB are putting lot of effort into making it an amazing event for our students by making it into an obstacle course! Donation packets went home at the end of last week, and students who return their orange donation form with a parent signature will receive one free raffle ticket! Every $10 donation earns your student 1 raffle ticket to use in the prize drawing of their choice. A donation of $25 or more earns your student an exclusive Obstacle Course Survivor Panther t-shirt and 3 raffle tickets! The more you donate, the more raffle tickets you earn. PLUS, any donation earns a Pershing Panthers sticker!
Donations can be made online at www.pershingpanthers.com or by sending in cash or checks (made out to Pershing Foundation) to your student's homeroom teacher or the office.
Students can use the raffle tickets they earn by bringing in donations to enter in drawings for some fabulous prizes including: Pizza Lunch with Friends; Mile and Homework Passes; Gift Card Bundle worth $50; SDSU Swag Bag; $50 Amazon Gift Card. NEW for 8th Grade families - we will be raffling off front row seats to promotion and Patrick Henry High School hoodies! Keep an eye out for more great prizes to be announced in the coming weeks!

Also new this year! Two-Ticket Tuesdays - February 4, 11, 18, and 25 - All donations collected on Tuesdays will earn 2 raffle tickets for every $10! And Winning Wednesdays - February 5, 12, 19, 26 - Raffle tickets will be distributed to homerooms on Wednesday mornings. Students should bring their tickets to lunch and use them to enter prize raffles.

President's Update: Spring 2019

This year's Foundation meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of every month @6:30pm in the Library, with a few exceptions. Here are the rest of the years meetings:

Fun Run:

The Fun Run is the Foundations ONLY fundraiser the entire year!! It will be coming up on March 20th, with a kick off on March 1st. We are entertaining some new exciting ideas and prizes. To share a few, this year we are offering a new relay team, fun class competitions, along with top earners, and top runners. Prizes such as, a dodge ball tournament, Air pods, Hw passes/ Mile passes, a game truck and much more. Make sure you get plugged in and see how you and your student can be involved to make this a fun event.

6th grade camp:

6th grade camp is just 2 months away, April 15th-19th. Our school is one of the only Jr. Highs who offer this once in a lifetime opportunity. Our golden rule is “when one goes they all go!”. We offer many opportunities to help raise the money to go through various fundraisers and paying a donation of $350.00 for an entire week of outdoor schooling. We are still collecting those donations until camp. Hope to see your student there!

Spring Fest:

This year we are combining Open House, June Jamboree, and Spring Fest into one big party. This will be an exciting event you will not want to miss! Come join us May 3rd
