Learning On The Go (LOGO)Learning On The Go (LOGO)

We are excited to announce that Pershing's sixth grade students will participate in the LOGO program for a fourth year.

The Learning On The Go (LOGO) program is part of San Diego Unified's i21 Interactive Classroom initiative. The program supplies middle school students with netbook computers intended to travel between home and school. The netbooks are equipped with wireless access cards, allowing students to access the internet from virtually anywhere.

The following information will help 6th grade parents get informed, get signed up, and make sure this is a successful experience:

Step 1: Getting Parents & Students LOGO Informed

  • LOGO Parent Informational Meetings: We scheduled a series of mandatory meetings to educate parents and students on the LOGO program and provide answers to frequently asked questions. Parents are required to attend one meeting OR watch the online Parent Informational Webcast. Students and parents are welcome.
  • Online Parent Informational Meeting Webcast: If you would prefer to view an online webcast of the LOGO parent meeting it is available. Click here to view.
  • LOGO Informational Powerpoint: For more information you may download the presentation informing students. Click the following link to download: Parent LOGO Information Presentation
  • LOGO Student Video: Informative video for students about the LOGO program. Please click here to view the webcast.

Step 2: Signing Up

  • LOGO Network Agreement Form: For a sixth grade student to check out a computer, parents and students must sign and return the LOGO Network Agreement Form. IMPORTANT: Parents must attend or view the meeting, complete the LOGO Network Agreement Form, and return it to their child's advisory teacher before a netbook will be distributed to their student.

Step 3: LOGO Distribution

  • If your student has returned the LOGO Network Loan and Use Agreement Form your student will be able to check out a LOGO computer, bag, power cable, and wireless card during textbook checkout (during English class) on Friday, October 24.
